Welcome to Sri Lanka !

"Ayubowan!" -- that is "Welcome!" in Sinhalese, the most widely used language in Sri Lanka. The meaning of this word is "May You Live Long!"

Sri Lanka is a little tropical island skirting the Southern tip of India with a population of some 20 million people scattered through a rich and resplendent coastal belt with its majestic coconut palms, terraced by acres and acres of lush green-carpeted paddy sfields and with the blue capped soaring peaks in the high hills, which form some of the finest tea growing country in the world.

On arrival in Sri Lanka, either by air or by sea you are greeted with a profusion of warmth by both her people and her climate.

It is one of the staggering wonders of nature that an island 270 miles long and 140 miles wide offers such a variety of attractions and such a variety of resorts within easy reach of each other.
